Dear Penn State Central NJ Chapter:
The heart of the Penn State Alumni Association and the Central NJ Chapter are her volunteers. I’ve had the honor and privilege to be part of the group of volunteers who re-chartered the chapter in 2007 and the Chapter President since 2009.
Our chapter’s goals have always been to bring Penn State to Central NJ through programs, networking, football watch parties, THON events, Annual scholarship, and Annual Student Send-off. Our chapter has been recognized as an ELM chapter since its inception and 3 Alumni Volunteer Awards. The activities and recognition are a direct result of the great leaders and volunteers on our chapter board.
My time as President of the Central NJ ends effective June 30, 2024. I’ve enjoyed my time with the chapter, working with prior and current Chapter board members, made long-lasting friendships, and look forward to passing the torch to the next group of leaders for our chapter.
I’m pleased to introduce Meg Kauth ’18 as the new Chapter President and Elton Armady ’09, ’16 and ’19 as the new Chapter Vice President. I’d like to thank the Executive Board – Rhonda Schaffler, VP, Tom Higgins, Treasurer, and Suzanne McCracken, Secretary – all have served while I’ve been President. Rhonda and Suzanne will be leaving the board. Tom and I will remain assisting Meg and Elton through transition. Please join me in welcoming Meg and Elton to their new leadership roles!
If you are interested in volunteering with the Central NJ Chapter, please contact Meg Kauth at meg.kauth@alumni.psu.edu or Elton Armady at earmady@gmail.com.
